⚖️ Legal Size & Catch Limits for Bass

📏 Minimum Size

The legal Minimum Conservation Reference Size (MCRS) for bass is 42 cm across all UK waters.
Any bass caught below 42 cm must be released immediately.

🚫 Closed Season (Catch & Release Only)

From 1 February to 31 March, all recreational fishing (shore or boat) for bass is catch-and-release only.
No retention is allowed during this period.

🐟 Daily Bag Limit

From 1 April to 31 December, and 1 January, anglers may retain up to two bass per person per day, provided they meet size limits.
